AMA and Mid State Aeroguidance
club
dues information
To fly and take instruction at the club field, you must become a member of the Mid
State Aeroguidance club. A membership entitles you to attend monthly club meetings, and
the official newsletter, Just PLANE Talk, is provided as
an added benefit. The membership is renewed each year and the dues are due by January of
each calendar year.
Club dues are $35 per year. A family membership costs $50. There is no limit to the
number of additional members in the family. The dues are payable at the beginning of each
calendar year. If a member joins in mid year, the dues are pro-rated.
To fly at the club field, an Academy
of Model Aeronautics (AMA) membership is required. This membership provides liability
insurance for the member, and also includes a monthly magazine, Model
Aviation.
Club Officers

Mark Kwarciany. President. Mark
has been a member of the Mid State Aeroguidance for many years and has flown
many types of models. This is his first time as an officer of the club. His
latest interests are with larger, quarter scale models and he has recently been
flying gas powered planes. He is a builder and enjoys all phases of modeling. He
is employed with Greenheck Fans corporation in Scholfield, WI.
Don
Zais. Vice president. Don, has been a past
president of the club for 5 concurrent terms, the longest tenure of any
officer. He has retired from the Marshfield Clinic where he served as a
Provider Relations Manager for the Security Health Plan (HMO) of the clinic. He
flies all types of planes and enjoys limited building also. His other hobby is
working in his woodworking shop, and he loves to repair and fix things. His
interests include scale and trainer types of models.
Jim
Rasmussen. Editor / Secretary. Jim is the oldest member of the club, having been a
charter member when the club was formed in 1973. He has been a past president
and vice president. He presently is the new member contact. His interests are mostly scale, with a leaning towards the larger
quarter scale sizes in the past years. He has flown all types of models, including rubber, control line,
gliders, and radio controlled pattern and scale. He started in R/C when he had to build his
own equipment. He has an electronics background, and was retired from the Marshfield
Clinic electronics department.
Steve
Bittorf. Treasurer. Steve has just recently retired
and has been involved in club matters. This is his first experience as a club
officer. He learned to fly about 2 years ago and
has been active in the club helping wherever he is needed. He is an avid golfer
but still finds time for model flying. He feels he is still learning and is
honing his flying skills on a Sig LT-40.
Joe
Mayer. Safety
officer. Joe has served as past president, is presently the
Safety Officer of the club. He is an outstanding welder and pipe fitter in the stainless steel trade
and is employed in the maintenance department for A&B Systems in
Stratford, WI. His
specialty is welding aluminum, and he does many jobs for club members with aluminum
mufflers. He flies all types of planes, but his main interest is the larger ones such as
Lasers and Extras. He also enjoys the larger scale types. He is now presently the
contest director for the club.
